Day Men: Fixed





Fixed League Overview:  Teams are fixed for the season, but new teams can be added at the end of a round if there is space.  Play is every Monday. Up to 24 teams can be accommodated. The coordinator is Miles Pittner

Details:  Teams register for play.  Individuals can also register and every effort will be made to place them on a team. The schedule is rotational (meaning you will rotate through the time slots  and there are two to three game round robin draws over the course of the season (usually between 18 t0 21 games) plus playoffs if ice is available. At the end of each round, teams move up or down the ladder based on their results.  

The league trophies for  Grand Aggregate Winner (most points throughout the year) - Scott Brewster Trophy, Ken Waterman for final round Fixed A flight winner, the Len Fluet for Fixed B flight winner, and a Day Men’s Playoffs - Al Goffin and Pat Paterson Trophies.

Draw Events: The Day Mens' division also offer 3 weekly draw events:  Wednesday Open, Thursday Open (coordinated by the Day Ladies Division) and Friday Follies.

Special Yearly events: Our Day Men have an Opening spiel - Navy Fall Classic Trophy,  a Christmas spiel - Steve Kot Trophy, a mid season UpSpirits event - the George Dawson and Blair Rogers Trophy that invites old timers back for some easy curling/conversation/lunch, and a Closing spiel - Bill Jefferies.

The Day Mens Divsion also offers an amazing Invitational Bonspiel.  The LaValley, Admiral Wright, McGillvray and W.G. Ross Trophies for this event. winners.

The day divsion also conduct some funding raising activity each year in support for the Perley and Rideau Veterans Centre.
